What we know
- TI bought the fab in 2021 and offered Lehi employees jobs at closing. One source says about 1,200 jobs were preserved.
- LFAB2, an $11 billion second fab next door, was expected to add about 800 direct TI jobs, with initial production reported as a 2026 target. It makes analog and embedded chips on 300mm wafers.
- TI committed $9 million to improve student opportunities through the Alpine School District.
Not confirmed: whether LFAB2 is producing, current hiring, and any technician training program. We found no Utah college program tied to the fab. Check TI’s careers site and Utah’s workforce agencies.
