Cheyenne had the biggest announced project on this list, and it is also the least settled.
Status
- Project Jade (Crusoe and Tallgrass): Laramie County approved a 1.8 GW campus in January 2026.
- June 2026: Crusoe stopped work, saying it paused "at the request of our customer". Tallgrass said its own work continues and that Crusoe moved off the site.
- Google: reported as the customer of a 2.7 GW campus on the site, with construction expected to finish by 2031.
- Microsoft: has a separate Cheyenne campus. We did not confirm its current construction status.
We are waiting for the project to settle before writing a full guide.
